Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Here I was so frustrated with someone who wouldn't love me but they didn't know love (God) so how could they love me. One version of this scripture states “My people are destroyed because they do not know me and because they reject me." It's real easy to see the stick in someone else eye but what about the board in yours? Are you love? Are you a friend? Are you patient and kind? Do you keep record of wrong? Don't ask others to be who you aren't. Don't require things you have no knowledge in. This means don't pick a scripture and run with it. If you are going to apply the word apply the entire book. The rejection of God does not come from unbelievers he expects that. It comes from believers who do not have full knowledge of him. You have no relationship! You do not communicate daily or know the desires of how to apply the things taught/read to your everyday walk. Accountability is big on relationship. Accountability is apply the knowledge/word by everyday submitting and walking out the blueprint. So the second part of building a relationship is gaining knowledge of God. Studying the word. You can't have a relationship without knowledge. Now that you know better it's time to do better!
Lord, today I pray that you give me strategy to comprehend and study your word. Help me to apply the word and be accountable for the things you reveal to me. Give me revelation of your love, grace, and peace. So that I can love, give grace, and walk in peace. Make me unstoppable and strategic in how I apply/release the revelation you give me.
