Out of Pocket

He fed me dreams. It was so weird because normally I would have dismissed him but this time I was out of pocket. “Lord, there has to be a crack, I said.” I started to replay the last couple weeks and then I saw it emotions! The person came with a unique spirit attached that caused me to lose focus of the most important thing my heart. I was not having sex with him but the words used caused me to shift watch from my heart to my mind. The spirit of arrogance made me feel insecure and instead of me standing on guard my emotions went crazy trying to get him to validated me. The enemy hit me where I thought I had overcame my feelings. 

Proverbs 4:23

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. I always wondered why God said to guard your heart and renew your mind. Your heart is the gateway to your soul it captures events and filters the good or bad qualities. Your mind makes sense of the events but your heart it filters to check the pain or pleasure factor which tells us if the experience was good or bad. Guard means to control access to a place. Why should you control access versus walling up your heart? Controlling access allows us to continue good experiences and growth from painful experience while walling up keeps everything good and bad out. This is why the word states to control access which means controlling things or experiences that approach or enter a place. It also means an attack or outburst of an emotion. If you control access you are able to say this can enter my heart or no this can’t approach me. You also are are to resist every attack of emotion. You are able to have chemistry with multiple people so you can not base a relationship on emotion you must set up boundaries/parameters of what can come in and approach. This can be done by: 1. Remaining faithful in your relationship with God. Do not cut your daily time with God because you have chemistry with others. Also the other person must have personal relationship with God? 2. Is this person kingdom focused? Do he and she know their assignment in the earth? Are they walking in their kingdom identity? 3. Checking compatibility in kingdom assignment. Does this person assignment and your assignment connect spiritually? The focus has to be does he/she understand your identity and are they able to connect to partner with you to assist you in carrying your cross (assignment) 4. How do they honor others? Do they have long friendship?How do they honor their family, pastor, and others? 5. Are they growing? Do you see fruit? Their life should always be growing as they become who God created. 6. Do have have Godly character? 7. What did God say? Seek God in prayer before you enter into relationship. These are just a few things to look for the obvious signs should always be viewed and taken into consideration. A person shows their true self within 3 months so take your time and let God reveal it! Today pray: Lord, give me wisdom on what relationships to nurture, prune, or cut off completely. Help me to not make emotional based decisions. Give me insight on the true motive behind connections. Reveal every spirit and host sent by the enemy to distract, confuse, hurt, and steal from me. I bind up the spirit of lust and perversion that may try to hinder me from discerning what spirit I am entertaining. Help me guard my heart by knowing what spirit to enter and approach me. Help me to always keep you as the center of my heart, focus, and mind. In Jesus name Amen
